Knights of DayBreak: Part Three By: W.Bob Yankovic Welcome back. This is gonna be a good one. In this fic you are going to get to see the new Supreme Gaurdians take on the Renegade Force. Who will win? Well wait and see. Mac has the next one, so I am looking forward to some good work from him. Enjoy. "You can't be serious," Draco said as the Renegade Force stood before him, "these guys are a bunch of transdimentional misfits." It had been an interesting job to get this far in what Mac and I hoped would be a new dynasty of Supreme Gaurdians. We had been netted, challenged, Forceblasted, and amazed by the new gaurdian hopefulls. "Where is Mac," I said under my breath. I had sent him to pick up the last of the four new recruits, Cratin Jur. He had not returned yet. "Well, looks like we are going to fight two men down," I announced aloud. "As if it mattered," Sarhedrin said with a sly smile. This guy was almost creepy. "Okay everyone, time to form up and show them what we are made of!" Jase screamed out in his Aussie accent. "Um, Jase, you aren't the leader," Clink said. "At least I can make a decision. And who put the Delty in command. Your genes are so screwed up it would take a thousand men working round the clock for a hundred years to fix even one!" Jase countered. I could sence some dessention in the ranks of the R.Force. I knew that Terra was having confidance problems and that Hogan had left to pursue political positions in Earth Alpha, but I never saw Jase trying to take over and Clink being the brunt of even more jokes about his delta dimention home world. "I have had enough of your smart @ss!" Clink yelled out. "Children, we have been hired to test out these weaklings and I suggest that we do so," Anubis said. Who ever expected him to be the one to solve problems. Just then Mac's ship portaled in with a very preturbed Cratin in the back seat. As they both got out Mac explained, "It took me a while to find him. He was disguised as a Hutt. It seemes that I made him quite mad when I discovered his true identity. He will fight along side us though. It seems that even theives have some honor." "I am not a theif! I am a treasure hunter!" Cratin yelled. "I've heard that somewhere before," I said. "Uh-hmmm," Shandra coughed to get our attention. "Oh, yeah we are supposed to be fighting," Mac said. He walked up to the line of gaurdians. In the back ground we saw a small crowd of peolple portal in. "It seems that you have put together quite the band of rad tags have you not McInnis," Jordan Brin said. He was flanked by, as always, his group of lackeys. "I have come to watch their destruction. And when they are defeated I will ask you to resign as head of the DGF and name me as your successor!" "Hogo, Katrina, will you keep Mr. Pissed off because he has no more power busy while we do this? Have him sit down if you can swat all of his friends away from his butt long enough," I said. My loving wife just laughed and flew over along with Hogo and Kyusei over to Brin. "Now to get down to business," I said. "Renegade Force battle stance," Terra said. She looked around as though she didn't think that anyone would listen to her. Everyone except for Jase did. "I think I want to take the runt with the big mouth one on one," He said. "If you want me come and get me," Draco replied. "That's it! No one talks to me like that! Expecially if he should be wearing diapers!" Jase screamed. Draco simply walked a few paces out into the open area between our two groups. "Hey Draco might need this!" I said as I tossed him a SG ring. "I won't be needing it," he said cooly. Jase had had enough. He flew right at Draco at break neck speed. He drew his fist back to land a punch he hoped would send Draco sprawling. Instead as soon as he flew close enough to Draco to swing, Draco reached out his own hand and grabbed his fist. Jase stopped in mid-air, his arm fully extended, and with his eyes and mouth gaping open. "No one is that fast!" he said. "I am," Draco said as he phased out and reappeared above Jase. He flew straight down and pinned Jase to the ground. His expression never changed. "This can't be! I am being beaten by a toddler!" Jase cried. Draco stepped off of him and beconned him to continue. Jase lit into Draco with a barrage of punches and kicks. Draco simply blocked each one without even changing his standing position. Jase soon tierd of the game and flew up at a fourty five degree angle from Draco and began to launch blast after blast at him. "You forget I am a Suir Lux," Draco said. I could have sworn that I heard Draco yawn amidst the destoying blasts. "You will now be punished for your own pride," Draco said. He phased out and appeared behind Jase. He grabbed him by the legs and flung him to the ground like a rag doll. A huge valley was made by Jase's body as it dug deeper and farther away into the planets surface. "He was foolish to underestimate me," Draco said as he walked back to the group. I had to admit I had seen very few fighters with his capability. "Ok People, huddle up," I said. "Here is the game plan. each of us has his or her own special talent. We have to use all of them to gell us together as a coherant fighting force. We have to take out people systematically. We could all survive this fight if we fought alone, but we could win this fight if we fought together. Got me?" Everyone nodded. "Hey I know this is kinda weird being the first time we have ever seen each other fight, but we have to trust each other." I opened a small chest and handed them each a blaster, saber, and ring. "You are now Supreme Gaurdians. Let's show them what we are made of. And don't think that this is going to be an easy fight." "Ok, Sarhedrin you and Cratin take left flank, Mac and Shandra, take right. Draco you and Irvine stay in the middle to cover everyone, and I will take rear gaurd. Everyone ready?, then let's go," I said. As our group spread out into positions I yelled out an order that this was just a trainig exercise and that no one was to use lethal force. The Renegades stood before us with Terra at a very shaky helm. RENEGADE FORCE! ATTACK!" she yelled. The vastly more experianced fighters flew toward our new fighters. Raditz and Zarbon flew out to meet Mac and Shandra. Shandra drew her lightsaber and a black shaft of light shot forth. She flew towards Zarbon who quickly transformed and began to shoot small ki blasts at her. She blocked and dodged most of them until she was close enough to swing her saber. She parried and thrusted a few times in his direction but to no avail. He spun around her and caught her by the arm. He began to squeeze her wrist until her lightsaber fell to the ground and deactivated. I could sence Shandra becoming more and more reliant on the Force. This was all fine and dandy but she had forgotten about the Vortex. It was going to take time. Soon Zarbon had her reeling with punches to her abdomen. Then he suddenly stopped and looked down at his hands. "THEIR GONE!" he yelled in anguish. He began to wave his arms around frantically. Shandra had used a Force technique that made him "lose his hands." She quickly took advantage of the moment and snatched up her saber. Zarbon appearantly shook off her spell and looked at her with contempt, "Very nice gag, but how about this!" He began to power up and threw a huge ball of energy right at Shandra. She lowered herself into a deflection stance but I knew that the blast was too large for her to stop. Before I could throw a blast to counteract it a bang rang out. A huge wake followed a supercharged bullet. The bullet met the blast and neutralized it. Shandra looked over to see a very proud Irvine tipping his hat. She never slowed her pace and soon was inside Zarbon's defences. The two fought hand to hand for a time and then backed off to blast at each other. My attention switched to Cratin and Sarhedrin who were having a tough time with Anubis and a already beaten up Jase. They were standing back to back blasting with all their might at the two Renegades. Jase was making flights over them shooting blasts down at them and Anubis was attacking from as many horizontal directions as he could. They were being seriously pummeled. I actually thought about interveining to save them. I really wanted to see them fight though. Sarhedrin said something over his shoulder to Cratin and began to power up. He summoned a huge gust of wind that blew up an even bigger cloud of dust. With the battle area swarmed with flying dust and debris no one could see what was going on. After the cloud settled I couldn't see Sarhedrin at all. I saw Anubis standing in his same little place looking around frantically hoping to catch sight of his foe. Then I looked over to Jase and shook my head. I could swear that there were two of him. They both looked at each other. One of them screamed "What are you doing!?" The other one looked at him and said, "What do you mean what am I doing!? What are you doing?!" Jase 1 flew back and began to power up. Jase 2 did likewise. "FIRE CRUSHER BALL!" they both yelled out. The two blasts met each other and exploded. Anubis was perplexed. I was too. So I scanned both of their minds. I then knew which one was the real one. The Force is a nice tool to have when it comes to masters of disguise. Anubis simply flew over and grabbed both of them. He chained them to the ground and demanded to know which Jase was the real one. Before either one of them could answer a hand shot out of the ground, grabbed Anubis, and drug him into the dirt. Sarhedrin exploded from the ground and began to pummel the area that Anubis was in with power blasts. He drew his saber and a wicked flame shaped dagger blade came from the hilt. He walked over to where the Jase's were and asked who was the real one. One of them said "banana." Sarhedrin cut him free and Cratin threw off his magical disguise. He then held the dagger to the throat of the real Jase and asked him nicely to give up. Anubis sprung out of the ground in hopes to catch them off gaurd but Cratin had a gun pointed at his forehead as soon as he stood up. These two guys made a nice pair. I looked over to Mac who was toying with super sayajin level 4 Raditz. That fight was a little one sided so I turned my attention back to Shandra. It seemed that Zarbon and her had called it a truce. They both looked exhausted and were gasping for breath. Draco on the other hand was having his way with Princess Mula and the Rock family. He was only hit like three times and that was to no effect. When Mega Puff joined the battle Draco began to slip. Taking on six opponents was not a tough job for him but he looked like he was being bored to death. Irvine was taking on Terra. This was a one sided fight all the way in my opinion. Terra was half esper. Irvine looked like he was holding his own, but he never got a chance to make and attacks. Terra was too quick with her magic. She threw a huge lightning bolt at him but he avoided it and stuck his gun in the way. It seemed that he was blocking all of her magic with his gun. I didn't know what he was doing but biding time. He looked like he didn't have a chance. Terra began to chant and a huge green explosion bursted out in front of Irvine. He blocked the majority of it with his gun but got hit with enough of it to send him sprawling. He looked down to his gun. It was glowing strangly. He looked over to Terra, "You sure you don't want to go out on a date?" She answered him with another spell. He absorbed it. "Thanks, now I am going to have to apologize for what I am fixing to do. I really hate having to fight pretty women," he said. He took his gun, leveled it in line with Terra, and pulled the trigger. "Neutron Bullet!" he screamed out. A huge blast of mingled and assorted magic lept forth from the barrel. A huge bang flew out along with it so loud that everyone on the battle field fell to their knees holding their ears. The blast flew at Terra, ripping holes in the Vortex. The attack reminded me very much of Violation. When it hit Terra she tried her best to block it but it carried her away with it. Three miles later the huge blast exploded on the surface with Terra in it. Irvinne flipped his gun up and blew the smoke away from the barrel. I switched over to Draco who was now being attacked by the other six fighters and Clink. Draco was holding on but with the addition of Clink had a very small chance. When the six fighters all hit him with one huge blast Draco fell back. He looked down to his battered clothing. "You have disgraced my seal," he said. Clink stepped forward and pointed his sword at Draco's neck. "You wanna give up?" Clink asked smoothly. Draco took this move very personally. He phased out from under his sword and challanged him to a one on one. The battle raged on for several minutes. Draco was very pissed but Clink was so experianced that he was keeping up with him. They exchanged blasts and punches for a while. Then they switched over to fighting with their swords. Clink was the best swordsman I had probably ever seen. He began to gain ground on Draco. The battle ended as Clink broke into Draco's defence and slashed him on the thigh. Draco fell to the ground. I decided that the battle was a success. Everyone seemed happy with the outcome of the battle, except for Draco. So I screamed out over all the fighting that it was over. The Renegade Force had won a few battles and we had won a few. The new Supreme Gaurdians were declaired the winners with the addition of Draco and Jase's fight. Everyone shook hands and the sinzu beans were passed around. "We would have won if Terra would have beaten that idoit with the gun," Jase said. Terra, with her already damaged ego but somewhat renewed sence of confidence quickly reminded him that he had also been beaten. Jase muttered under his breath and walked away. "Shane," Draco said, "You promised to fight me." I looked at him and wondered if he was serious. I didn't know if it would be bad for moral if we fought. Then I thought that Brin, who was obviously outraged with our victory, might be happy to see some decention within the ranks. "How bout it?" Draco said impatiently. I looked back to Mac and I guess he was thinking about the same thing I was so he nodded. "Ok, fine," I said. No offence to the kid but he was in for a butt kicking. I didn't plan on killing him, just breaking his pride. Everyone spread out into a large circle and left Draco and I in the middle. "You sure you wanna fight me?" I yelled out to Draco. "I have never been beaten on my home planet. I will enjoy adding you to my lists of defeats," he said smoothly. He reminded me too much of myself at a young age. I just nodded and threw off my cloak and bandolier. I stuck out my hand and motioned for him to bring it on. I was answered by a fist in my face. This kid was fast. "Ow, that kinda hurt," I said nursing my now swolen lip. I thought to myself that he was out for blood. I was out for fun. This combo wasn't going to work. I launched myself at him only to find him phasing out and trying his little stomp technique on me. I was on the other hand expecting this so I phased in behind him and gave him a nice kidney kick. This doubled him over. "It seems that I will have to fight you full on," he said, "you should be honored." This guy was majorly over confident. He didn't know who he was up against. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his ring. He then transformed into his Gaurdian form. I was shocked that he admited that he needed help with me. He dove in from above me with a kick that I easily blocked. He then began to punch, kick, elbow, and uppercut me to death. Every move was blocked. "You aren't going to beat him with generic moves!" Mac yelled in from the side. "Why are you talking?" I yelled back to Mac, "And who exacltly are you pulling for?" Draco seemed to take his advice and backed away. He began to charge up and dropped into a firing stance. "REIGNFIRE!" he yelled out. The blast lept forth from his hands. It was a wicked blueish color and in the shape of a rain drop. I saw it coming in fixing to hit me so I stuck my hand up to block it. Strangely enough the blast split itself around my fingers and found its target right in my gut. I was knocked back several feet and landed on my butt. "Honey, you are looking bad," Katrina said from the side. "Indeed McInnis, you are being beat by your subordinate," Brin added. "Shut up," I said. I hated to admit but this kid was good. "OK games over," I said as I transformed to Gaurdian form. I walked back to the center of the circle and began to power up. "Last chance Draco!" I screamed. "Last I checked you are the one who was knocked down," he said. I was seriously pissed. I wondered if he had ever seen a Jedi in action. I reached out in the Force and pulled his pants down. This brought a laugh from everyone except Draco. He resuited himself and began to fire a barrage of mid-ranged blasts at me. I easily deflected them. "My turn," I said. I placed my hands in front of myself and began to charge up. "STAR CRUSHER!" I yelled out as I fired my blast. The energy neared him then faded from sight. It hit him squarely and sent him back into the dirt. "Wow, never seen that before," Mac said. "Just made it up, like that dissapearing act don't ya?" I said with a grin on my face. Draco stood and dusted himself off. "You have knocked me down!" he yelled in anger. I guess that this was some kind of dishonor to knock your opponent down. Anyway it made him mad enough to rush me again. His punches were fueled by rage and they almost found their mark. He was getting stronger with each blow. Finaly he left himself open and I nailed him in the chest with a punch. This knocked out all of the wind he had. "I...cannot...be...beaten!" he gasped. His anger was feeding his power level much like it feeds the Dark Side. He began to fire huge blasts at me. I was taken off gaurd so I had to back pedal a few steps. Then I portaled out and in behind him. A double axe handle in the back sent him flying to the ground. "YOU WILL BE DEFEATED!" He screamed at me. His power level was soaring through the roof. He phased in front of me and pulled his sword in a slash across my abdomen. I dodged it and quickly had my purple bladed light saber up in defence. He slashed and hacked down on my defences. I was holding up very well and this only served to make him more angry. Swipe by swipe he tried to cut me in half. He made a swing fairly high so I rolled in and uppercutted him in the gut. This made him drop his sword and I noticed a dribble of blood run out his mouth. "WHAT! IS! THIS!?" he said as he touched his finger to his mouth and raised it to his line of sight. "Its called blood," I said, "Now just admit that you can't beat me and we can all leave happy." He looked at me with rage filled eyes. His slim muscular body was shaking with anger. I looked at his distinctly cut features that defined him as a Suir Lux. His normally light red irises were now pools of black flickering liquid. "YYYYOOOOOUUUU CAAANNNNOOOTTTT WWWWWIIIINNN!!!!!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. A huge explosion followed. When the dust cleared I looked at a new person. The slim muscular body was now thick and rippling with muscles. His features were twisted into a fearsome mask of anger. The most impressive feature was his hair. No longer was it a Trunks stile hair do, but instead was a foot tall black flame. "I AM FLAME SHADOW!" he declaired. A chorus of wow's and oo's came from the crowd. I myself was quite impressed with his transformation. He flew straight at me and began to beat the ever living crap out of me. I just thought that this kid was good, he was now kicking my butt. "Um Shane, I would reccomend an appearance of Mega someone right now," Hogo said. "Yeah looks like it," I replied as I stooped over trying to catch my breath. "Admit your defeat and the battle will be over," he demanded from me. "You haven't even met me little Irish friend though," I said as I flew at full spead at him. By the time I had reached him I stood in full body armor of Arkane, had a huge sword named the Disembowler, and had a flaming hair do that matched his, only mine was green. "Meet MegaFighter, laddie," I said as a swung a punch that landed square on his jaw. When it hit he didn't even flinch. In fact it kinda hurt my hand. "Oh it's on now," I said. "Bring it," he said. So I brought it, in a fifty gallon barrel of whoop @ss. I lit into him with everything I had. Punches and kicks began to tear him apart. I was sure I heard a rib or two crack with one punch. I decided that he had had enough so I let his body fall to the ground. "Maybe that will teach you a lesson," I said as I walked away from him. I saw Katrina's mouth open in a scream as a huge blast nailed me between the shoulder blades. As I fell to the ground in pain I heard him utter. "And maybe that will teach you one," The next move he did was wrong, he walked over and spit blood on my face. That pissed me off sevearly. I cracked my back and neck and drew the Disembowler. I will show you some respect for your elders," I said. I began to charge up along with my huge Celtic claymore. When I reached my full power I flew up into the air. "DEATH'S DOOR!" I said as I cut a huge hole in the Vortex. As I sped down toward Flame Shadow, he caught my idea and began to run. I caught him and promptly tossed him into the portal. Before closing it I let out a huge energy blast that could have easily destroyed a dimention if calculated properly. As the portal closed I saw his angered face curl up in a scream of pain. "Did....you just kill him?" Mac asked as I landed. "Nahh, just scared the crap out of him. The blast dissapated about 1 1/billionth of an millimeter in front of him. He is probably gonna show up here right about now," I said. Sure enough a very shaken up Draco portaled in right in front of me. "Why didn't you finish me?" he asked. "I needed you too much to kill you," I said as I pulled him over. "I do not deserve to live, but if I must I will place my life in your hands," he said. "And I place it right back in yours," I replied. "How nice, it seems that you all are now best friends," Brin shouted from some distance. We all turned to look at him. "It would be nice, though, to see some real evidence that you're suited for your jobs instead of a so many light shows and pulled punches." "Do you mean to say that you can't sense power levels, yet you brought no form of measuring device to record evidence to support your expectations?" asked Mac. "I don't need any of that to see what sort of bull you're trying to push on the us, you childish--" Brin and his yes-men all dissappeared together in a large vortex portal. To the side, Draco stood with a very slight grin on his face. It was obvious he was getting the hang of his new tools pretty quickly. "I grew tired of him. His mouth is large, even for his body," he said. "OK, everyone, you may retire now. Stay close, though, and we'll gather you when we need you," called Mac. I thought things were going pretty well already, and we still had a good length of time to tidy up the rough edges. ----------- Next up, part 4, by Mac
