Sword of Darkness Part 4 by: Pikallo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Allright, this series is getting weired, but hey, "What's the point of being alive, if you can't live." (Okay, I will document this quote, Electra King, 007: The World is Not Enough. I'm sorry, but, that was a good movie.) Anyway, here goes another peice of insanity for you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Listen, in case you didn't notice, MewTwo could have killed us without trying. The Sword of Darkness is infused with more Vortex power than I am, and half my body IS PURE VORTEX ENERGY!" Frag gave me a "your point is?" look. I then grabbed him, and threw him in a portal, however, instead of appearing in Nexus Central Command, we slammed in the shield. "Man, not again! Wait, this is the real shield, but we should have passed right through it." Frag looked at me, " 'Should' is the operative word here." I looked up for a second, "Supreme Gaurdian Overide, code is C-H-O-S-E-N-1-25thg874s." With that, the sheild dropped without an problem, "Hmm, Shane having that infused hacker skill he does, I figured he would have taken out my personal overide code. No matter, let's go." Again, I grabbed him and we entered the Station. "Wait, were not in the main hanger, why?" I didn't turn, just kept running, "Easy, any authorized, and even non-authorized, traffic enters there, so that means the security is tightest there. This is the Supreme Gaurdian hanger, less security, less people. I'm can probably count the number of people who even know of this hanger on my fingers." When we got to the Hall, I stopped. "What now? Let me guess, Shane and the Yokell group are out there, right?" The glare he got from me shut him up, temporarily. "Now listen to me and listen good, you bust out there like you normally do and half of Nexus Central Command is on your butt in three seconds, the rest in another two maybe three, if your lucky. However, you follow my lead, and nothing will happen. I know all of the gaurds, and they know me. I also designed the security devices for this hall, they're the best you can find anywhere, but if you know how they work there's nothing to getting past them." "Okay, here we are at the Vault. If there is anything on that sword of MewTwo's, it's in here." I walked to the archives, while Frag seemed awed at the stuff in here, "Man, I would kill for these weapons." I barely stopped him from firing the bazooka he had in his hands, "Listen, you be good and help me find what we need, and I'll turn my back when you go to gank a few of these toys, deal?" "Deal!" Shaking my head, I led him to the archival section of the Vault. After what seemed like days, we finally found what we were looking for, information on the four extremes. "Ray, I think I found something!" Going over to where he stood, I looked at the file in question. "Interesting, there's no information on the source of power in the Swords. But, the Ultimate Force appear to be powered by hopes and dreams of all things, while Lucifer's Key is powered by the inert wish of people to destroy all that is. Man, this is bad, very bad." Looking me in the eye, "I thought that was Bob's line?" The punch in the gut I gave him must have reminded him of what happened to Bob. "Guess that's still a sore subject." "Let's get back to work." After a few more hours of fruitless searching, we pretty much gave up. "All we're doing now is waisting time, unless we search through the remnants of the Destroyer Library, but I'm not sure weather or not it's still there. Kinda toasted a good deal of it when fighting Omega Weapon." Frag pulled out his comunicator, "Jase, get out to 3rd Earth, Gomisaki has the numbers for the jump. We'll see you there." He grabbed me, created a portal, and flew into an indistructable barrier. I shook my head, "This vault is the most sheilded thing in all existance, nothing you do will get you in or out unless it's the front door. Follow me." I scanned the outside of the room, and finding no one there, we walked out, THEN created the portal to Gomisaki. "JASE YOU FREAK, WHEN HE SAID BRING GOMISAKI, HE MEANT GOMISAKI AND MY CRUISER!" I think he still remembered the beating I gave him last time we met, because he was cowering the corner while I screamed at him. "Not that it matters, COMPUTER: CALL ROAM!" Frag looked at me, "Roam? Isn't that the name of that Gaurdian who befriended you when you started? OOF!" Again, a punch in the gut to remind him of what happened in the past, "Man, you sure do hold onto the past, don't you?" "Sometimes the past is better to hold onto. The past won't change, won't turn on you, proves you did SOMETHING good in your life. The present constantly becomes the past, so there is no reason to hold onto it, and the future is uncertain, able to change with one movement, one word uttered at the wrong time." Everyone on the bridge was shocked at the depth of that statement, "Man, aren't you Mister Gothic tonight?" The glare I gave Brick Boy shut him up. "Cinder Block Man! Block Man Cinder." We all just looked at Brick Boy, "He said, 'Maybe we should just look for the problem, before trying to find the answer." The nods around the room affirmed everyone's descion, though I did whisper to Frag, "How did he get that from the words 'Cinder Block Man?" He whispered back, "No one knows, I did hear some one theorize Brick Boy just B.S.'s something that sounds really good, and Cinder Block Man takes credit." "Oh." "Hey Ray, since your room is right across from mine, would you mind grabbing a bottle of scotch and sending it up?" "Why not get the new guy to do it?" He thought for a second, "He's what, 10? He needs to wait a few years for something that strong, it'll knock him flat with a swig." "Uh, Frag, I'm a minor. Well, officialy I'm 16." Everyone looked up, "And unofficially?" I did some quick calculations, "All told, I'm about 421." Anubis challenged it, "You look like a minor," "And you look like your in your early 30's, when your over 450." Anyway, I went to get the scotch. When I opened the hidden compartment, I saw what appeared to be gym socks with green berrets on. I laughed, untill they drew lasers that looked conspicously like Goldeneye's Moonraker. "HEY, OW, THOSE THINGS HURT!" I grabbed the scotch and went foreward to tell this weird tale. "So, the gym socks bursts into flames when they fired their weapons?" I nodded, "I figured they had got into your liquor, mostly becuase that was the only bottle with anything left. I guess the heat from their weapons caused the alcohol in them to ignite." Frag looked down, "Damn, should have taken the Gym Sock Society down when they developed mid-evil catapults." Well, that is pretty much the day we have around Gomisaki and Roam. We did actually do some work at times, but I swear I am not used to ships that can take a human form. Gomisaki walked up to me one night, and I nearly blasted a hole through her gut. Anyway, we are still no closer to finding MewTwo, and that has me real worried.
